Sridevi, who passed away following a massive heart attack in Dubai, had no history of a heart disease, revealed her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor. Sanjay, an actor himself, said that the entire family was in shock with the sudden passing away of the veteran actress. He reached Dubai on Sunday morning.
In an interview to Dubai-based web portal Khaleej Times, Sanjay said, “We are completely shocked. She had no history of a heart attack.” He added that Sridevi was in the hotel bathroom when she suffered a cardiac arrest. Sridevi, 54, was in Dubai to attend the wedding function of her nephew Mohit Marwah. She was accompanied by her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi. A report in Khaleej Times claims that while everyone in the Kapoor family had returned post the wedding, Sridevi, with her husband and daughter, stayed back for some shopping
Sridevi, who began her career as a child actor, is known for her performances in films like Sadma, ChalBaaz, Chandni and Khuda Gawah, among others. In the recent years, she appeared in films like English Vinglish (2012) and Mom(2017). She was conferred the Padma Shri in 2013 by the Government of India.
