Dubbed Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, the iOS, and Android game — which will be released by Portkey Games this spring — allows players to create their own Hogwarts student and experience life at the magical school. Players will be able to learn spells and magical skills, attend classes with famed professors like Hagrid, Snape, and McGonagall, befriend other students, duel rivals and more.
It will be the first Harry Potter video game since 2012’s Wonderbook: Book of Spells, for Sony’s PlayStation 3. It will also be the first game released under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s new Portkey Games label, which the company set up last year. Announced via JK Rowling’s Pottermore site in November, Portkey Games will “work with talented creators to build games that focus on player-generated stories, which will live alongside the magical universe created by JK Rowling”.
Here’s your first look at the new role-playing mobile game, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. The mobile game – part of the new label Portkey Games, from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment – will invite you to join Hogwarts in the 1980s, and will feature many of your favorite things from the Harry Potter stories. These include spells, classes, characters and much more. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be available via the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore in 2018.
